General Service Questions
What is a wash, dry and fold service?
Wash, dry and fold is a convenient laundry service where your clothes are washed, dried, folded and packaged for return to you.
What types of clothing can I include?
You can include everyday laundry such as shirts, pants, underwear, socks, towels, linens and similar items.
How do I prepare my laundry?
Just bag it up. Place your clothes in a plastic garbage bag and leave them in your designated pickup spot.
Can I include bedding or large items?
Yes. We accept sheets, comforters and blankets. Bulky items are charged individually. Visit our Pricing page for more details.
What if I wash and dry my own clothes but want you to fold them?
Absolutely. We call this our Fluff & Fold option. We’ll run your laundry through a quick steam cycle to help release wrinkles and then fold everything for you.
How do I pay?
You can pay by credit card, debit card or mobile payment through our app.
Pickup & Delivery
Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes. The Folding House is a door-to-door laundry service, with no-charge pickup and delivery available in the Harrisburg area.
What is your turnaround time?
Our standard turnaround time is 48 hours.
Do I need to be home for pickup or delivery?
Not necessarily. You can leave your laundry in a designated spot and we’ll return it the same way.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. We require a $40 minimum order.
Cleaning & Products
Will my clothes be washed with other people’s laundry?
No. Each customer’s order is washed separately to maintain hygiene and help prevent mix-ups.
What detergents do you use?
You can set your preferences through our app. Our detergent options include Tide Original, All Free and Clear and ECOS.
You can also choose whether you’d like fabric softener or dryer sheets added, or leave them out entirely.
Can I request specific washing instructions?
Yes. Simply leave a note with your order or add your preferences when booking.
Do you separate lights and darks?
Unless requested otherwise, we use a ColorCatcher with every load.
If you’d prefer us to sort your laundry and wash lights and darks separately, you can select that option for an additional fee.
